Rename or change the color of a channel

You can easily change the name or color-coding of a channel to make sure your channels are always clearly identifiable. You can make these changes if you're a team admin or a member. 

  1. Open a channel.
  2. Click on the three dots icon to the right of the channel title.
  3. Click Edit Channel...
  4. Click the Edit Channel button to the right of the channel name.
  5. Change your channel name in the Channel Name field.
  6. You can click the colored dot in the Channel Name field to change the color of the channel.
  7. Click Save.
  1. Open a channel.
  2. Tap the three dots icon to the right of the channel title.
  3. Tap Channel info.
  4. Tap the pencil icon to the right of Channel info.
  5. Change the channel title and/or the color of the channel.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Tap Next. 
  8. Tap Save in the top-right corner.
    1. Open a channel.
    2. Tap the i icon in the top-right corner.
    3. Tap Edit in the top-left corner.
    4. Tap the channel name field and a cursor will appear where you can edit the channel name.
    5. You can tap the colored dot beside Color to change the channel color.
    6. Tap Save in the top right.
If your iOS device is using version iOS 13 or above, you can also edit a channel through its context menu.
