Email template for introducing Twist

Hi everyone,

As you may know, we’ve decided to test Twist as our new team communication tool. I wanted to reach out and explain a little bit about why we’re going to test-drive a new app, and how you can get started using it.

To give you a sense of how Twist works, please watch this short video:

There are three key ways that I think Twist can help us work better:

  1. It’s asynchronous. Instead of being constantly glued to our group chat and email inbox, Twist conversations carry no expectation of instant replies. That means you won’t miss anything important if you decide to unplug to focus on important work, and you won’t feel like you have to reply right away. It’s all about responding on your own schedule and taking your time to craft thoughtful responses.
  2. It’s more organized. Communication in Twist is organized into channels and threads that retain the full context of our conversations. Threads make it really easy to start conversations with whomever you want, invite new members, add files and then most importantly, find that conversation later.
  3. It’s transparent. Instead of conversations and files being locked up in people’s email inboxes, Twist makes conversations public by default. Twist is a team knowledge base that organically builds itself, which makes adding people to conversations and onboarding new people to the team much easier.
