Share any file from your Google Drive with your team on Twist. Here’s how:
- Click the paperclip icon in the bottom left of your comment or to the right of your message.
- Select Google Drive.
- If this is the first time you access your Google Drive, sign in to your account.
- Choose the file you want to share and click Select.
- The selected file will be uploaded, turned into a Markdown link, and added to your comment or message.

- In the top-left, tap the menu icon.
- Select Drive.
- If this is the first time you access your Google Drive, sign in to your account.
- Tap on the file you want to add.
- The selected file will be uploaded and attached to your comment or message.
This feature is not yet available for the Windows 10 app.
FAQ
How can I access files from a different Google account?
You’ll need to disconnect Twist via Google Drive:
- Visit Google Drive.
- In the top-right corner, press the gear icon and select Settings.
- On the left, select the Manage apps tab.
- Scroll down until you see Twist and press Options.
- Choose Disconnect from Drive.
- Confirm by pressing Disconnect.
Next time you try to add a Google Drive file, you'll be able to sign in with a different account.
Simply add the Google account to your device:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Clouds and accounts.
- Scroll to the bottom of the list and select Add account.
- Select Google.
- Follow the instructions to add your account.
Can I attach files from a shared Google Drive folder?
Yes, but only if the owner of the file has granted you permission to share it.
How can I remove a file?
Simply remove the link from your message or comment and delete the file preview:
- Click the three dot icon to the left of your message or to the right of your comment.
- Select Edit.
- Remove the URL and click Save.

- Tap Delete.
For now, an attachment can only be deleted by deleting the message or comment. We’re currently working on improving this.
