Using the integration
- Open a message or thread in Twist.
- In the Twist composer, select the
Quick Actions icon.
- Select Google Calendar. If you’re not already logged in to your Google account, you’ll be asked to do so now:
- Select Log in with Google. This will open a new window, where you can log in to your Google account.
- When you log in for the first time, make sure to give the following permissions: "View and edit events on all your calendars" and "See and download any calendar that you can access on your Google Calendar":
- Select Continue.
- Return to Twist.
- Select Continue after login.
- You’ll now see an overview of all your upcoming meetings. If you already have at least one meeting set up, you can now:
- Select Share to share an already set up meeting. This will create a post with information about the meeting - including date and time, duration, guests, and a meeting link - which you can then share in a message or a thread.
- You also have the option to set up your own meeting:
- Select the + icon at the top right, or scroll to the bottom of your list of meetings and click + Schedule.
- Fill in the details of your meeting such as a title, date, time, and duration of the meeting. You can also invite guests by adding their email addresses.
- Once you’ve filled in all the details for your meeting, select Schedule.

FAQ
How can I remove the integration?
If you no longer want to use Google Calendar with Twist, please follow the instructions in this article to remove the integration.
Why am I unable to install this integration?
If you're having problems installing this integration, it may be because your admin has disabled this option in your team's security settings.
I created an instant meeting and now I have an event called Adhoc meeting in my Google Calendar. Can I delete it?
Yes, you can. When you create an instant meeting, the integration creates and then immediately deletes an event in your chosen Google Calendar. If you see this event (called Adhoc meeting) in your Google Calendar, it’s because something went wrong and the event wasn’t deleted properly.
